Blackpool Zoo, Lancashire's best visitor attraction required a more user friendly membership system to help them efficiently process their 7,000+ annual membership renewals. They were looking for a solution which would allow them to take the members photograph onsite and also generate their membership card instantly, instead of their existing system which involved laminating paper based cards which inevitable led to delays during busy periods and often resulted in the member having to return to collect their card or it being sent out at a later date.
Pack Smart proposed installing the software which they currently use for all membership card requirements. Pack Smart were able to use the artwork the Zoo provided to supply branded credit card sized plastic cards for use with the printer. The high spec printer is then able to colour print photographs taken onsite via the web cam directly onto the membership card, other useful data can also be added including name, membership number, expiry date etc. The whole process is completed within less than a minute.
The interlinking database can also be updated in real time allowing the staff to capture all the data requirements the Admin staff need for subsequent reporting. Pack Smart were also able to import the Zoos' existing data saving many hours of data entry.
